About Mospirel and Our Singapore Registration

Mospirel is a Singapore-registered cloud accounting software provider serving local SMEs. This page covers who we are, what we build, and the corporate details you need if you are checking us before you buy or before your finance team signs off.

Who we are

Mospirel develops and supports cloud accounting software for businesses in Singapore. We are not a marketplace or a directory; we build the platform and run the implementation ourselves. That means the people who set up your chart of accounts are the same people you reach when a bank feed breaks.

Our customers are mostly SMEs that need clean books, GST handling, and a system more than one person can use. Many of them started on spreadsheets or a desktop package that only one staff member understood. Moving to a shared cloud ledger changes the daily routine: the bookkeeper stops chasing paper, the director can see the numbers before a bank meeting, and the accountant gets a file that reconciles instead of a shoebox.

That shape of customer decides how we work. We keep the chart of accounts readable, we set up GST codes before the first invoice goes out, and we leave a clean audit trail rather than a folder of manual adjustments.

Most setups begin with a paper trail: supplier invoices, bank statements, and the opening balances your accountant already trusts.

What we build

A cloud ledger for daily bookkeeping, GST-ready tax codes, bank feeds, and reports laid out for the way Singapore directors and accountants read them.

How we implement

We migrate opening balances, agree the chart of accounts with your accountant, and stay on the first month of live transactions while questions are still fresh.

Who you reach

The implementation team answers the support line. No ticket queue that separates the person who configured your file from the person who answers.

Software built for another market needs workarounds here. We started Mospirel to remove them.

GST codes that match what IRAS expects. Reports laid out for ACRA filing. Bank feeds that reflect how local banks actually send data. It is a narrower focus than a global platform, and that is deliberate — local fit is the product.

Why we work on Singapore accounting

Singapore's accounting rules and GST regime are specific. A platform built for a global market can usually be bent to fit, but the bending shows up later — in a GST code nobody trusts, a report that has to be rebuilt in a spreadsheet before a director signs it, or a bank feed that needs manual correction every month.

We work on that boundary instead of around it. Our GST treatment follows IRAS expectations, our financial statements are structured so an accountant can move them toward ACRA filing without re-keying, and our bank feeds are built against the data formats local banks send rather than a generic import template.

GST handling

Tax codes set up before your first invoice, so a GST return does not become a week of corrections. Adjustments stay traceable to the transaction that caused them.

Statements and filing

Balance sheet, profit and loss, and supporting schedules laid out so your accountant can review them and prepare the filing without rebuilding the numbers.

Local bank feeds

Transactions pulled from the accounts your business already uses, with a reconciliation view that shows what is matched, what is pending, and what needs a decision.

What we believe about SME accounting

Most SMEs do not want an accounting system. They want their books to be current, their GST filings to be correct, and their accountant to stop asking for missing documents. Software should get out of the way and make those outcomes easier.

So we keep the workflow close to how a Singapore finance function actually operates. One person raises invoices, another approves payment, the accountant posts journals at month end, and the director wants a report that matches what the bank shows. Those roles get their own access and their own view instead of one shared password.

We also leave features out. A screen that only looks good in a demo costs you setup time and training time, and it makes the monthly close longer, not shorter.

How we support customers

Support runs through a business phone line and a contact form during Singapore office hours. The first month after go-live is when most questions arrive, so we plan for it.

Setup and migration

We move your opening balances across, agree the chart of accounts with whoever signs the accounts, and check that prior-year figures reconcile before you post anything new. If a figure will not agree, we find out why during setup rather than after a filing.

The first live month

We stay close while real transactions flow: bank feed matching, GST treatment on your actual invoices, and the reports your director asks for. Questions in week two are usually about how a transaction should be coded, and those are quick to answer when we can see the same file you can.

Users and access

Adding a colleague, changing what an existing user can see, or handing your accountant their own login is a routine request. We would rather set the roles properly once than share a login that nobody can audit later.

When a quick answer is not enough

If a question needs more than a reply, we schedule a walkthrough and go through it on a call or a screen share rather than leaving it in an inbox. That applies to a GST correction before a deadline, a bank feed that has stopped updating, or a report that needs a different layout.

Working with accountants and partners

Many of our customers work with an external accounting firm, and we support that arrangement rather than competing with it. Accountants can be given their own login with a role that allows posting journals and viewing reports without touching payroll or bank settings.

Firms that manage several clients can ask about working arrangements. That usually means a repeatable setup: the same chart of accounts template, the same report pack, and a way for your staff to see what the firm has done. We would rather fit into your existing relationship than replace it.

If you are between firms, or your accountant works remotely and rarely visits the office, the shared file still works the same way: one set of numbers, clear roles, and a record of who changed what.

Accountant access is scoped to journals and reports, so your firm can work in the file without touching payroll or bank settings.

What we do not do

We do not provide audit, tax advisory, or corporate secretarial services. We are a software provider with implementation support, not a licensed accounting firm.

That boundary matters when you are choosing a system. If you need a statutory audit, a tax position reviewed, or your company secretary handled, we will say so and point you to your accountant rather than stretch our scope to keep a conversation going.

What we do own is the platform and the implementation: the chart of accounts, the GST setup, the bank feeds, the reports, the user roles, and the support that keeps all of it working through your month-end. Being clear about which side of the line we sit on saves everyone time — yours, your accountant's, and ours.

Where we are heading

Our roadmap follows what customers ask for. Three themes come up most often: deeper bank integration, cleaner reporting for lenders and directors, and better tools for businesses running more than one entity.

We add features when they solve a real task for a Singapore SME, not on a fixed release calendar. Requests that arrive through support are the ones we weigh, because they come with a description of the work that is actually getting stuck. If a request does not fit how your finance function operates, we would rather tell you than ship something you will not use.

Requests that come through support usually describe a real month-end task — that is the input we build from.

Common questions before you commit

Do you work with our existing accountant?

Yes. Your firm can keep working in the same file with a scoped login for journals and reports. We set that up during implementation so your accountant is not asked to learn a new system on their own time.

We already keep books in a spreadsheet. What does moving cost us in time?

The migration itself is planned with you: opening balances, chart of accounts, and a reconciliation check before live posting starts. The busier part is usually the first month of live transactions, when your team is coding real invoices in the new system for the first time. We stay available through that month.

How do we get our registration number for vendor onboarding?

Send the request through the contact form, noting which document your procurement team needs and who it should be addressed to. Our registered office address and business phone number are also listed on this page and on the contact page.

Can you help with audit or tax advice?

No. We are a software provider with implementation support. Audit, tax advisory, and corporate secretarial work stay with your accountant or your professional adviser, and we will tell you plainly when a question belongs there.

What are your support hours?

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (SGT), by phone on +65 6236 2794 or through the contact form. Messages that arrive outside those hours are picked up on the next working day.

Tell us what your books look like today — the software you use, how many people touch them, and what your accountant expects at year end. We will tell you what setup involves, what your team needs to prepare, and whether we are the right fit. If we are not, we will say so.
